Bフレームを2以上にしているならこのオプションも使うと良いでしょう。man page にあるとおり、速度低下抜きで若干の画質向上が得られます。概ね2005年３月以前のlibavcodecベース・デコーダではデコード出来ない事に注意して下さい。
You might as well enable this option if you are using >=2 B-frames; as the man page says, you get a little quality improvement at no speed cost. Note that these videos cannot be read by libavcodec-based decoders older than about March 5, 2005.
